Dear Parents, Friends, and Volunteers of Vineland K-8 Center:
Vineland K-8 Center will host our annual Career Day on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from
9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Career Day is designed to expose students to various careers
through interactive and/or hands-on demonstrations.
We would like to invite members of your company or organization to participate in this
event by serving as guest speakers who will come to our school and share information,
expertise, and job-related personal experiences with our students. If you, or someone you
know, might be interested in participating in this event, please contact Mrs. Moreland,
School Counselor, at (305) 238-7931 x2118 and complete and return the attached form.
You may return the form to your child’s teacher or to the main office. You may also fax
the form to the school (attention Mrs. Moreland at 305-378-0776).
This event will be memorable and meaningful for the children only if there is a wide
variety of careers presented and if there are many presenters for the students. Each
session with the students will last approximately 25 minutes. There is flexibility in
scheduling. If you are only available to present to one or two classes, we can
accommodate you.
As our way of saying thank you, the PTA will provide breakfast for all Career Day
participants from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Welcoming remarks and information distribution
will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Please note that there is a parking available around the perimeter of the school or in the
lot accessible from SW 84 Avenue, next to the two story building.
